Personal Development and Customer Care

BTS offer a wide range of Personal Development and Customer Care courses, each one tailored and written with the audience in mind. Our more popular courses include:


Assertiveness Training


  • Half day workshop.
  • Being assertive can help us to feel better about ourselves i.e. improving self-esteem and personal confidence.
  • Remaining passive or becoming aggressive can lead to feeling inadequate, guilty or regretful.
  • Provides you with the tools and techniques that will help you to be assertive in the workplace whilst still maintaining the importance of working as a team


Political Awareness


  • Half day workshop.
  • Understand the politician’s perspective, their nature and how to build relationships.
  • Can include interactive simulation exercises if required.


Conflict Management


  • Half day, interactive workshop.
  • Understand the triggers that cause conflict and how to manage them.
  • Discuss attitude and behavioural cycles and how to best use assertiveness in the face of conflict.


Effective Decision Making


  • Half day workshop. Many of those entrusted and empowered to make decisions do not commit a sufficient amount of time or attention to the process.
  • Understand a range of tips and techniques to ensure you become a more effective decision maker.


Effective Communication


  • Half day workshop.
  • Improve the effectiveness of your communication.
  • Learn the skills you need to communicate effectively, to communicate your ideas clearly and effectively, and understand much more of the information that’s conveyed to you.


Presentation / Public Speaking Skills


  • Full day (or 2 x half-day) workshop, including practical assessment.
  • Gain confidence and learn techniques to become an engaging and knowledgeable presenter at internal/external meetings, conferences, staff briefings, sales presentations and events.


Introduction to Neuro-Linguistic Programming


  • ‘Neuro’ – refers to the mind, through which our experiences are processed via the five senses. ‘Linguistic’ – means language through which our experiences are given meaning. Programming’ – this is the ability to utilise our thoughts and words in the most effective manner.
  • NLP examines how the human mind stores, retrieves, manages and communicates information.
  • Discover the communication techniques that we believe can enhance your skills and knowledge in and out of the workplace.
